We are hiring!
The San Roman lab is hiring a research technician and postdoctoral associate to join our brand new lab! The earliest start date is January 2, 2024 and we will consider applications from individuals looking to join anytime in 2024. Applications must be submitted through Duke Careers (linked below). Short-listed candidates will be contacted for virtual interviews with Adrianna and members of Duke MGM and CAGT.
Research Technician:
Research technicians interested in working in the lab should email Adrianna to learn more about what we do and available positions in the lab. To be considered for this position, apply to our job posting through Duke Careers. Please submit your resume, a cover letter explaining your qualifications and research interests, and contact information for three references.
Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, computer science, or related scientific fields, and previous research experience are encouraged to apply. Experience in cell culture, molecular biology, or computational biology is a plus, but not a prerequisite – we will teach the applicant the skills that they will need to do this job. Most importantly, we are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about science, motivated, detail-oriented, works well on a team, and has excellent communication skills.
While this funded position is one year to start with extensions contingent on performance, funding, and needs of the lab, we are seeking candidates who are willing to make at least a two-year commitment.
